We offer a range of clinics and services at the surgery. There are some tasks you can do, such as health reviews, using our online forms.
Antenatal clinics
Held on Tuesdays (all-day) and Wednesdays (morning) and is run by a team of midwives from Heartlands hospital. If you think you are pregnant, please see a doctor as early as possible in normal surgery for a check up. The doctor will confirm the pregnancy and arrange for you to see the midwife. The midwife will be responsible for providing the remainder of your antenatal care.
Asthma clinics
Baby immunisations
This clinic is held on a Tuesday afternoon (appointment only). Appointments will be sent by post for routine checks and immunisations.
Cervical cytology
Women aged 24-65 years are recommended to have regular cervical smears to check that the neck of the womb is healthy and there are no signs of any changes that could develop into cancer. The examination is simple and not painful. An appointment is automatically sent every 5 years.
COPD clinics
Diabetes clinics
Our practice nurses hold clinics regularly with an emphasis on self care and health promotion.
Family planning clinics and support
We offer a full range of services including contraceptive pill, implant and coil. A trained family planning nurse is available for consultation. Routine pill requests (including requests for the morning after pill) can be dealt with during morning surgery or by requesting a repeat prescription.
Minor surgery clinics
We are approved for minor surgery, which is carried out during normal surgery hours.
Non NHS services
The doctors provide non-NHS services, including the following: HGV medicals, private sick notes, Insurance claim forms, passport forms, holiday cancellation forms. A list of charges is available from reception.
Travel immunisations
Travel immunisations are often the forgotten aspect of booking a holiday. Please see below for further information on you may need to do before travelling.
For travel vaccines, please visit www.travelhealthpro.org.uk.
For routine vaccinations, please collect a questionnaire from reception or fill in our Travel Risk Assessment form.
After completion you will then be invited to make an appointment with a practice nurse. For full travel advice, please visit NHS: Travel Vaccinations.
Well baby clinics (6-8 weeks)
This is held on Thursday afternoons (appointment only). Appointments will be sent by post for routine checks and immunisations. We would be grateful if children who are poorly are seen during normal surgery hours.
